Phill Vardiman begins his second year with
the Lady Razorback cross country/track and field teams. Prior to working
in the Women's Athletics Department, Vardiman was an assistant athletic
trainer with Men's Athletics at Arkansas, working with the football and
In his capacity at Arkansas, Vardiman works
with both the track and field team and as an instructor in the department
of Health, Kinesiology, Recreation and Dance. Vardiman teaches athletic
training classes and assists in the development of the athletic training
curriculum for the University's entry-level master's program.
A 1996 graduate of Park University in Kansas
City, Mo., Vardiman went to Oklahoma State University to earn a master's
degree in exercise science. Upon completion of his master's degree, he
returned to his alma mater where he helped develop the athletic training
program and acted as a site coordinator for Health South's physical therapy
clinic and fitness center.
Vardiman and his wife, Bethany, have a daughter,
Ryleigh, and reside in Springdale.
