Diving Squad Signs a Pair of Canadians

FAYETTEVILLE - The University of Arkansas swimming and diving team signed Jamie Hyslop and Tori Kennedy to National Letters of Intent announced head diving coach Scott Reich.
Hyslop and Kennedy give Reich six new divers for next season as he loses three-time all-American and national runner-up in the three-meter event Mandy Moran.
"This has been an amazing recruiting year we have gotten real lucky. Jamie and Tori are both great kids," stated Reich.
A Canadian native, Hyslop attended Seaquam Secondary High School and competed for the Boardworks club team.
"Jamie is one of the top age group divers in Canada in all three events. I am really excited because she and Tori (Kennedy) are good friends," said Reich.
Hyslop participated in summer Senior Nationals as well as the Canadian National Championships. She was also active in gymnastics from 1994-2000.
Kennedy is a native of Calgary, Alberta, and attended Reynolds Secondary High School.
"Tori is a member of the Canadian Senior National Team and solid in all three events. She is a top diver and has the best credentials of all the newcomers," added Reich.
Kennedy took part in the Senior Nationals and 2004 Olympic Trials including international experience at the Canada Cup, U.S. Grand Prix and Orlando All-Stars.
As a prepster, Kennedy was also involved in cross-country and soccer.
"Mandy doing well throughout her career has helped us recruit in Canada and improved our ties to the area," said Reich.
