Assistant Athletic Trainer
Sean Collins joined
the Lady Razorbacks in 1999 and begins his fifth season as an assistant
athletic trainer in the Women's Athletics Department.
Collins assumes primary responsibility for the nationally
prominent Lady Razorback basketball team while supervising soccer and
golf. In addition, his duties include insurance processing, supervision
of students and graduate students and training room management.
Collins joined the Lady'Backs from Carroll College,
a private Catholic college in Montana where he served as the head athletic
trainer. While at Carroll, Collins worked with six varsity sports an approximately
150 male and female athletes. His duties encompassed all areas of the
training room including sport and game coverage, injury rehabilitation,
insurance and budgeting duties as well as conditioning program duties.
In addition to his training room duties, Collins was also a guest lecturer
in several athletic training classes as well as serving as a CPR instructor.
Prior to working at Carroll College, Collins attended
the University of Montana as a graduate assistant working primarily
with men's and women's track.
In addition to his athletic training certification,
Collins is a certified strength and conditioning specialist and holds
his private pilot's license.
Collins graduated from the University of Montana in
xxxx with a bachelor's degree in kinesiology and completed his master's
degree in sports psychology at Montana in 1997.
